‘NICK???’ I panicked.
‘Yeah, Nick, the one and only,’ Mikel said calmly.
‘How can you… what… and…’ I was out of words.
‘Come on, answer it. Don’t keep him waiting,’ Mikel said and got off me. He stood up from his bed and went to the window. I sat on bed.
‘What the hell do you want me to tell him? “Hi, Nick, I am fine, just making out with your half nude brother on his bed…”???’ I almost yelled.
‘Keep it quietly, my parents came back home,’ Mikel said and pointed at the window. ‘Better answer,’ he then added and buttoned up his shirt. Then he took a gummy bear out of his pocket and started chewing.
‘So that’s how crazy I can drive you,’ I threw words at him angrily. He seemed to be so damn calm!
‘You don’t wanna know,’ Mikel just smiled askew to the ceiling and I saw that he seriously was pleased with me in his room.
I took a deep breath.
‘Yes?’ I answered the phone.
‘Hi! Thought you will never answer me,’ Nick said.
‘Oh, I was…uhm…in a bathroom, doing my hair, you know… Didn’t hear you calling,’ I lied. Mikel put his fist into his mouth again and he looked like a guilty little child, who is actually happy for what he has done.
‘Oh, I see. Well, I just called to ask how you are. Mikel said you look better that I thought,’ Nick said. I looked at Mikel suspiciously again.
‘Oh, Mikel told you that?’ I asked Nick and Mikel looked at me.
‘Yeah… Well, look, hon, I have to hurry now, just found a moment to call you. See you after two days,’ Nick said.
‘Yeah, ok. Bye then,’ I said happy that the conversation could have been so short.
‘Nick’s busy with partying?’ Mikel took out his fist and then he started laughing like hell.
‘It’s not even funny!’ I yelled at him. ‘What the hell are you thinking? Just… You know, forget it all! I don’t wanna see you ever again, you blew-up-balloon!’ I yelled again and stood up. I opened the door angrily, went out and then shut it loudly.
On my way out I met Mikel’s parents, but I just said I was in a hurry and left soon. While going home I was swearing quietly with all the words I had in my vocabulary. For a moment I thought that we really were feeling right, but now I knew it all was terribly wrong.
But I was feeling very right with Mikel every time we met… It stayed a fact.

Oh, Nick can really choose a moment.
