"Wonderland" -Part 20 -Final part

Part 14

Next day we went shopping together. Javi lead me to the shop where he said that were great gowns. I started to find suitable one. But soon I went to Javi who was searching something from the men’s side.
“Have you realized how expensive those gowns are? I have never enough money to buy anything here.” I whispered.
“Hey, relax. Of course I pay it to you. It was me who made the bet, so I’ll pay the costs.” Javi replied.
“But,but…The cheapest one was about 200 euros.” I tried to explain.
“Hey, don’t think about it. Just take that what is just perfect to you. Don’t look at the price tag. And now, go and find that gown!” he told me.

The saleswoman was really great. She really had good taste of the clothes. All gowns what she brought me were really beautiful. I had to made hard decision between two gowns. The winner was rose coloured one. It left my back quite uncovered, so I chose suitable shawl with it. I had to buy suitable shoes also. But I didn’t thought money anymore. I decided to enjoy every moment, when it was possible for once.
Finally I was ready.

When the saleswoman saw me, she was speechless.
“Wow! You look really beautiful. And that gown really suits you. I’m sure your boyfriend is really proud of so beautiful girlfriend.” she smiled.
“I don’t have a boyfriend.” I answered.
“But that man who’s in the shop? Isn’t he your boyfriend?” she asked.
“No, we’re just friends.” I smiled sad.
“But you would want to be little more?” she asked.
“Yeah, maybe.” I replied.
“If he doesn’t notice you in that gown, he is really stupid.” she said.
“Well, we’ll see it then.” I said and smiled little.

“Why everybody else sees that I feel something more to him? But mister himself doesn’t see anything.” I thought sadly.

I asked the saleswoman put the gown, shawl and shoes to the bag right away because I didn’t want that Javi could see them. I brought Javi to pay my clothes.
“Can I see what you took?” he asked.
“Until tomorrow evening.” I grinned.
“Hey, that’s teasing. I want to know what you bought.” he tried.
“No way! You’ll have to wait till tomorrow’s night.” I replied. “Just pay the bill.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll give up.” he laughed.

He didn’t say anything even the bill rose about 500 euros.
“Wow, he really have a lot of money, if he can buy so expensive clothes for a friend.” I thought.
When we get back home I hided the gown from Javi. I really didn’t want him to see it beforehand.

Part 15

Next day I couldn’t think anything else than the dinner. Even María noticed that something had happened. I told her everything.
“So, you have kissed once?” she grinned.
“Yes, but it was just for the bet.” I answered.
“But that’s the start. And you’re going to dinner.” she smiled.
“Yeah, but just as friends.” I said.
“Go home and start to prepare for the evening. I see you can’t concentrate anything else.” María said.
“Thanks a lot!” I said and hugged her. “I’ll pay this someway.”
Then I almost ran to home. I was so excited.

I prepared the whole night. Javi looked me like a mad. I ran around the house always searching for something. He couldn’t understand how I had to prepare all night. But it was worth of it. When I finally got dressed, even in my own opinion, I looked beautiful.
Finally I was ready.

Javi was already waiting for me, and when he finally saw me, his faced showed me that everything had been worth of it.
“You..You look really beautiful.” he could finally say.
“Uhm.. Thanks.” I said and blushed.
But he wasn’t bad at all himself. He looked so handsome in black suit. He offered his arm to me and said: “Taxi is waiting for us.”
At the taxi I was just thinking that I’m going to dinner with Javi. I smiled like a crazy all the way to the restaurant. It looked really expensive restaurant. And I haven’t ever been such fine restaurant. The food was so tasty there. Our table was in the peaceful corner. There was also a dance floor and while we waited our meals we danced.

But somehow I felt quite sad, when we were dancing. At that moment I realized that I wanted so badly to be with Javi. Not as a friend but as a girlfriend. And then I realized that it would never be possible. The rest of the night I was quiet and deep in my thoughts. It seemed that Javi didn’t notice that at all. He kept talking and talking all the time. I mumbled some words between his talk but it seemed that he didn’t even notice what I said. Finally we had eaten. Javi phoned the taxi right away. I was really grateful for that because this dinner had been completely disaster. And I just wanted to go home and sleep.

Part 16

We didn’t speak anything at the taxi. I was sad and tired and I wanted to be alone. When we got back to home I walked straight away to my room and closed the door. I undressed and threw the gown somewhere. I didn’t care where. I took my pyjamas and put it on. Then I went to bed. But I couldn’t sleep. I heard when Javi walked around the house and finally I heard when he closed his bedroom's door. I tried to sleep again but it didn’t work. I waited for a while and then I went to the living room. I sat on the window sill. It was wide enough that I could sit there. I watched the sky and the stars.

But soon I realized that there drafted and I was freezing. I noticed Javi’s jumper on the couch and I took it and wore it. Now it was much better. The jumper smelled of Javi. Then I started to cry. I was mad about myself that I had dreamed there could be something deeper between us. Tears were running on my cheeks and I just watched out of window. I sat there hours just thinking what I should do. Then finally I decided to leave back home. I couldn’t live here anymore. My feelings were too deep to be just as a friend with Javi.

I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t hear Javi coming. Just when he touched my shoulder I realized I wasn’t alone. I had cried all that time and Javi noticed it.
“Hey, why are you sitting here darkness?” he asked.
“And why are you crying? Is something happened?” he continued.
This was so unbelievable. The last thing what I wanted was that Javi could see me crying.
“Hey, you can tell me.” he said when he noticed that I wasn’t going to answer.
Finally I could trust my voice and started to explain:
“I have thought for a while that I should leave back home.”
But I couldn’t go further.
“Why? Is something happened there?” Javi started asking.
“No, but I can’t live here anymore.” I replied.
“Why not?” he asked.
“It’s just…just my personal reasons.” I said.
“No, no! I can’t let you go!” Javi argued.
“Yes you can. And I’ll leave.” I said.
“Nothing can change your mind?” he asked.
“No, nothing.” I said and started to cry quietly again.

But Javi didn’t notice that. He was watching his hands. And I was staring out of the window. Javi had sat also on the window sill. Suddenly he started to speak.
“If you really are leaving, then I have to say this now. I don’t want that you leave. And the reason is that I love you. And I can’t live without you anymore.”
