We were eating ice-cream and chatting about everything and nothing. I didn’t feel like he was the Mikel, like he was damn handsome hot guy, I was feeling like…like if we were just two friends and I guess he felt the same way, cause we were having fun, laughing and being serious, teasing each other and helping to go through memories…
‘Well, that is why I was so…’ I was saying, but then I shut up. I lowered my eyes.
‘It’s ok, don’t feel bad about it. I am glad that you ran away,’ Mikel said and took my hand.
‘Thanks. It was horrible… He was drunk and he wanted to kiss me and touch me and…’ I shivered. Mikel put his arm around my shoulders. I licked some ice-cream and continued talking. ‘Next morning he was very sorry for what he almost had done, but I wanted to hit him. I was so shocked and scared…’
‘No wonder. But thank God, nothing bad happened,’ Mikel said and caressed my shoulders friendly. I smiled.
‘Yes…and it doesn’t give you a chance to touch me now,’ I laughed. Mikel pretended to be very scared and I started laughing even more.
‘Your smile is very nice,’ Mikel finally said.
‘Mikel…’ I said and rolled my eyes.
‘No, seriously! You know you’re not my type of girl, but your smile is nice,’ he said and winked me.
‘And you know you’re not my type of guys, but I will take this compliment,’ I replied and stick out my tongue. ‘You know, I am glad you ruined my first day in Spain,’ I then added.
‘It was your first day here?’ Mikel asked surprised.
‘Yes, actually… And soon I am leaving,’ I said and there was silence for few moments.
‘Don’t worry, you will always have at least one friend in Spain whom you will be able to trust,’ Mikel said and smiled.
‘Whom?’ I asked and started laughing when Mikel pouted. ‘Alright, alright, I know,’ I then said. ‘Thanks, Mikel.’
‘No prob… And look, I need to rush now, so if you want me to take you to hotel, we have to move now,’ Mikel said and finished eating his ice-cream.
‘Oh, darn it… I thought you’ll help me with the guy things I told you about,’ I said sadly.
‘I will, I promise. Just call me later, alright?’ Mikel said. He moved towards the bike, but I stopped him.
‘One more problem,’ I said and gave him my ice-cream. ‘I don’t want my ice-cream anymore,’ I said. Mikel looked at ice-cream. ‘Where can I throw it away?’ I then asked.
‘Nah, I think I will rather eat it,’ he laughed.
‘Mikel!’ I laughed as well.
‘Well, only a little piece, I wonder how it tastes,’ he then said and tasted the ice-cream. ‘Sweet…’
‘Yeah, it’s banana ice-cream, my favorite,’ I explained.
‘WHAT? Wait wait, WHAT did you say?’ Mikel choked.
‘It’s banana ice-cream, I like it… Something’s wrong?’ I asked and with fear noticed Mikel’s face becoming red. He started gasping.
‘I…I…can’t…eat……banana………….’ Mikel was saying, but he was gasping more and more and I almost panicked. I grabbed Mikel’s shoulder and looked at him with growing fear. He took out his mobile and gave it to me.
‘But but but, I….’ I was saying but understood it’s the only thing I can do to help him. I bravely found a number and called.
After few moments somebody answered.
‘Uhm, hello?’ I said. ‘Hola? Look, no time for chit-chat, Mikel’s in bad shape, he ate my banana ice-cream and…and… and HELP!’ I yelled.
‘Que?’ the voice asked.
‘Que que,’ I repeated irritated and looked at Mikel.
‘Ayuda,’ he hardly said.
‘Ayuda!!!’ I repeated to the guy on the phone.
‘Dónde estáis?’ the guy asked and I told him the name of the street and the nearest shop. I pressed the red button and hoped that soon “ayuda” will come.
‘Are you alright?’ I asked Mikel, but he just shook his head.
‘It will pass…soon,’ he said. ‘Just…you…need to…get home…’ he said.
‘Oh Mikel, you’re so sweet! You even care about me,’ I said and saw that Mikel doubted I was sincere, but when he saw a tear running down my cheek, he realized I was serious.

A car stopped nearby and a guy jumped out it. He came to us very fast and I felt myself shivering. I caught a moment to look into his eyes and he looked back into mine. I smiled and felt like a little shy girl.
The guy looked at Mikel and asked something. Mikel just shook his head, said something and showed at me. Then HE also looked at me and smiled.
‘Alright, he…will take you home…and…and…’ Mikel was saying and then gasped.
‘And…? How about you?’ I asked worried.
‘I will be fine, I am sure Ony called a doc for me,’ Mikel said.
‘Alright, you say – you know,’ I said with doubts.
‘Yes… I… I do actually,’ Mikel said. ‘Now get…get out,’ he said and waved us to go.
Ony took my hand and lead me to his car.
‘I didn’t know you have driver’s license,’ I said and then slapped my forehead. He didn’t know any Spanish. ‘Sorry,’ I added.
All the way home we both were silent. I felt stupid… And deep inside I promised myself to learn Spanish one day… I wanted to understand what he says, what his heavenly lips say, what his laugh means… And I wanted to say him so many things, the way I liked him, it was amazing…
When it was time to say goodbye, he pecked my cheek.
‘Cuídate bien,’ he said and winked to me.
‘Yes yes, sure, ok…’ I said even though I didn’t get what he said.
When I got into my room, I fell on my bed and smiled. There was something unreal in him… Something what made him look like the one and only… ‘Prince Charming,’ I thought and smiled wider.
‘Why this girl on a bed is smiling like an angel on a cloud?’ my cousin asked and I told her all.
‘Whoooo, wait, you like Ony? And Mikel is your friend?’ she asked surprised.
‘Mikel is…alright, but he’s so…so…so…’ I was searching for the right words. ‘Well, whatever. Ony is like a dream…or like an ice-cream,’ I said and smiled and then I remembered Mikel. ‘How do you think, maybe I should call him right away?’ I asked my cousin.
‘No, I think you should wait… Who knows, maybe he is in hospital or something,’ she added and I got scared. ‘No no, I am sure he is fine. It was just some ice-cream,’ my cousin calmed me down.
After two hours I didn’t take it anymore and called Mikel.
‘How are you?’ I asked.
‘I…’ Mikel tried to say, but I continued.
‘Is it alright now?’ I asked once again.
‘Ye…’ Mikel was answering, but I kept talking.
‘The ice-cream, huh? It was allergy, right?’ I said.
‘I to…’ Mikel managed to say, but then it was my voice talking again.
‘Where are you now? And how do you feel?’ I asked worried.
‘………….’ Mikel said.
‘Will you answer me? Hey???!’ I yelled.
‘If you let me finish at least ONE DAMNED SENTENCE, yes, I would answer you,’ Mikel said.
‘Oh… Uhm… Sorry… Just it all happened so fast and I was so scared and then Ony came… Have you ever noticed Ony is so nice person even if he doesn’t talk to you?’ I started talking fast.
‘Wait wait WAIT,’ Mikel stopped my non-stop speech. ‘What you said about Ony?’ he asked.
‘No…nothing,’ I muttered and put my hand on my mouth.
‘You like HIM?’ Mikel asked.
‘No, I don’t!’ I lied.
‘You do!’ Mikel said.
‘Mikel…’
‘Why you hid it from me?
‘Mikel…?’
‘I mean… He is my friend and you…’
‘Mikel?!’
‘I thought you trust me just like I trust you?’
‘MIKEL?!’ I yelled.
‘WHAT?’
‘I still need your help,’ I said calmer.
‘Righteous…’
