Mikel stopped playing. ‘Good, let’s try. No acoustic version from Cuando Tu Caes, or?’ He played some notes.
Sergo putted the microphone on.
‘Sing something,’ Mikel said while he played Una Lagrima. Sergo did what he said.
‘Too loud,’ Mikel sighed. Sergo turned it softer and sang again.
‘Still, let me,’ Ony said and Sergo gave him the microphone. He started singing and at the same time he putted it on the good volume. From Una Lagrima Mikel went playing Todo Va A Cambiar and Ony sang the chorus. When Mikel started playing Cuando Tu Caes, Ony leaned forward to Sergo and held the microphone in front of her mouth.
‘Our first concert,’ he smiled…
‘Oh god, yes,’ Sergo said. ‘By the way, you can all come on the presentation, if you want. The invitations lay upstairs. I’ve got way too much, so take with you as many as you want.’
Of course her friends accepted the invitation for a free concert. And Sergo ran to her bedroom to get them. When she had given to everyone Mikel started playing again. Ony took Sergo’s arm and pulled her closer. Sergo knew exactly when she had to start singing and she started at the right time. While she was singing she realized where it was about. Taking risks was something what the group would do with letting her go on stage. There was a chance there would come bad reactions, and then they couldn’t go back. But she had the rest of the group and they had her. And she got her friends, who where looking interested at her now. Soon she would sing for thousands of people. She shivered. Ony smiled as sign it went well and Sergo started the high notes, it didn’t went exactly like she wanted it but no one cared. They liked it how it was.

‘Sergo,’ Sergo said and took up her cellphone. It was one month and one week after her party. She already brusher her teeth and was ready to go to bed. One o’clock, so late, especially when you would have to work at school whole Sunday. Who, for God’s sake, called so late?
‘With Priya,’ it sounded out of the phone. She sounded disappointed, like there happened something bad.
‘Pri! What do you call late!’ Sergo said surprised.
‘We broke up,’ her friend said and on the same voice.
‘Broke up? Was it on with someone then?’ Sergo asked confused.
‘Yes… Of course he’s already away for a while, but I didn’t wanted to talk with anyone. I’ve cried for ages on my bed, luckily my parents weren’t at home and…’
‘Wait a minute, Pri, sorry I interrupt you so suddenly, but about what ‘he’ are we talking?’
‘About Javi of course,’ Priya said impatient.
‘I’m sorry? Did you had something with Javi?’
‘Please, don’t say me now that you didn’t noticed he left every weekend for going to me, while you lived with him in one apartment.’
‘No… I did he was away, but to you, no I didn’t knew.’
'Since when?'
‘At your birthday already? When I threw the coke at him.’
‘Ok, whát happened in my bathroom?’ Silence. ‘Pri?’
‘Haha, nothing special. But when we came downstairs he had my cellphone number and the week after it he stood in front of me with heart chocolates. And we eat it together, so romantic.’
‘I talk to you too less… I never hear something,’ Sergo nagged.
‘I expected Javi would tell you and the guys,’ Priya said. ‘But it doesn’t matter, it’s over. This afternoon he came to me. We went to the ice cream salon in the city and ordered some ice cream. We ate it together and when we finished it was silent for so a long time. And than he said the distance between us was so big. I told him how much I missed him. He swapped his arm around me, but when he suddenly took his arm away, I thought there was something wrong. So I asked him and then, he told me. We couldn’t go on like it was. The distance, the age difference, the language difference, my school, his work. We were sooo different. I said it didn’t matter but he shook his head. He said he was sorry but that he had to break up. I really couldn’t understand it at first. But his eyes were serious, and than I started to realize it was true,’ she sniffed for a while.
‘And it so came over me I burst out in tears, and he did nothing, just sat and stared at me. So I stood up and ran away. And he didn’t followed me. Actua;y I understand him, or no, I don’t. But it doesn’t feel like it’s over. We had it exactly one month and it felt sooo good. Like we were meant to be. He came every weekend and we talked for hours on the phone. I was totally crazy about him. And he always told me how much he loved me. I thought he was happy with me, and now it’s over so suddenly,’ she now really started crying and it was silent for a while.
‘And he didn’t said anything?
‘Nope, and I don’t understand why,’ Sergo said. ‘Well…’
‘What?’ Priya asked.
‘Well, look… he’s kinda a flirter. Not really a player, but someone who takes the chance if you look how many girls he can get. Maybe… If he, used you, I understand he didn’t said anything.’
‘Oh thanks Sergo, now I feel much better,’ Priya said sarcastic.
‘Sorry, but if he did it, and I’ll take care of that I get to know it, he’s dead. Really dead. But…’ she doubted. She didn’t knew what to think of it. It didn’t really sounded like he used her, but she knew Javi for longer then today. Was it lying to her friend when she said it wasn’t like that? No, firstly, calming down.
‘Probably he is just shy now. Last time he suddenly talked English and I didn’t understood how he did that so well suddenly.’ Sergo smiled when she remembered the memory how Ony argued with Javi when he came home so late while they had to practise. He only asked or Ony please would let him through and Ony had looked not understanding. Then Sergo had screamed he was talking English instead of the usual Spanish, Javi had turned red and pushed Ony aside.
‘Yes, I taught him some stuff,’ Priya said. ‘But I’m gonna try and get asleep. Not that it will work, so call me when you know more.’
‘Promised.’
And Sergo walked to the living room and sat down. When Javi came home she would immediately ask him about it. How did he dare to treat Priya like that? One of hér friends he met at hér birthday. How did he dare to play her? She would take revenge on him, for sure. That stupid, fucking asshole. That… Further she didn’t came, the sound of a key in the door told her Javi arrived home…
