Part 27
Luckily nobody noticed I was listening to the whole conversation. I came to the sitting room quietly and waited for Mikel or Nick to come. I didn’t care which one of them would come first, I just wanted to kick their big selfish asses much.
‘What are you doing here?’ Nick shouted when he saw me. I was sitting and ignoring them calmly, although inside I was hurricane and storm.
‘Waiting for you,’ I smiled way too sweet. Mikel raised an eyebrow. He knew something was wrong, because I had never acted like that before. ‘Can we talk?’ I asked.
‘Oh… Uhm… Sure, sure we can,’ Nick stuttered. ‘I just thought you said you weren’t feeling right,’ he added. I smiled to him again. Then I looked at Mikel. And I saw that he knew… Somehow he knew something has happened. Probably because I was chewing some gummy bears just like himself…
‘Should I wait or go away?’ Mikel asked me quietly.
‘I am afraid that if you stay, you will get kicked hard,’ I smiled to him with the same sweet and innocent smile. I wondered how Nick didn’t notice it just wasn’t real me…
‘Alright then,’ Mikel laughed. ‘Scream out loud if you need help,’ he threw at his brother and went out of the room laughing. Nick was confused.
‘I hate your brother,’ I said to Nick, but my eyes were glued on the door.
‘Really? Oh… Uhm… I thought you liked him. Every girl likes him. He is so cool and famous and all that stuff… That’s why we try to pretend he is just as nobody as I am,’ Nick said.
‘You’re not nobody,’ I said.
‘Well, I know. Just we are different and it doesn’t ruin our family, that fact that he is famous, you know…’ Nick said. He was looking at me a bit confused. ‘Look, there is something I wanted to…’ he was saying, but I interrupted him.
‘Nick, just say it to me,’ I said suddenly and looked at him. ‘Say it and let’s be over with it. I am too tired for two ass-kickings and I swear you brother gets a good hit from me,’ I said.
Nick blinked at me few times.
‘How did you…?’ he asked.
‘It doesn’t matter. Just SAY IT,’ I said. I wanted him to tell me everything.
‘Alright. I met the girl I used to love. I think we kinda…suit each other and…I am very sorry,’ Nick apologized. ‘I didn’t want to hurt you, but I can’t choose my feelings. It just…happened,’ Nick said.
‘I understand,’ I nodded. I was feeling the same. ‘I understand that you cannot control it. Glad we solved it out,’ I said.
‘So he was right, huh?’ Nick then asked me. I looked at him a bit confused although I knew what he meant. ‘Wasn’t he?’
‘What are you talking about?’ I asked.
‘Come on, I was fair with you. Your turn now,’ Nick said.
‘Alright. I am not sure. Your brother is such an ass… I hate him so much that…that…’ I couldn’t finish the sentence right.
‘So much that you love him?’ Nick asked. I crossed my arms on my chest. ‘Last time he was beaten up was when I was 10 and he took my bicycle,’ Nick laughed.
‘Well, looks like some memories might be coming back soon,’ I said and smiled sincerely now.
‘I hope everything will work out for you two. Mikel is amazing person in real and you are an angel… I am very sorry that I can’t love you myself,’ Nick smiled.
‘Let’s then stop with flattering. From now on we will be friends only,’ I said and gave him my hand. He pressed it. Then I hit his arm.
‘Ouch, what was that for?’ Nick said and rubbed his arm.
‘For telling your brother about all “virgin hunting” thing,’ I said. Nick laughed. He indeed was almost like his brother. They both were very good people. I knew that…
I left the room smiling for some reason. Now I just needed to find Mikel and solve everything. Get it over. Be done with it.

Part 28
He was standing outside and looking at the sky. I came closer to him.
‘I hope he can still walk,’ Mikel said without looking at me.
‘He can… Oh yes, he can,’ I nodded. ‘Mikel, can you look at me? Please?’ I asked him nicely. ‘I need to tell you something eye to eye,’ I added.
‘Sure,’ Mikel said and turned his eyes away from the sky. He looked at me. I slapped him.
‘That’s for being an asshole and kissing me in the middle of the street!’ I slapped his arm. ‘That’s for being a moron and for the closet,’ I said and hit him again. ‘That’s for being a liar and for your bedroom!’ I added.
‘What the…?’ Mikel just said and started rubbing his cheek. ‘Are you crazy?’
‘No! How could you??? I heard it all, you stupid idiot! You told your brother all those things… You said I loved you! What the heck do you think you’re doing NOW??’ I yelled at him.
‘But… I…’ he tried to say, but I just silenced him with my look.
‘You played with me since the beginning, you ass!’ I yelled at him again. ‘The closet, your bed, all gummy bears! Everything was just a scenario for you, right? You just wanted to steal me from your brother???’ I yelled again and hit him again.
‘CALM DOWN!’ Mikel almost yelled at me too.
‘DON’T YELL AT ME! I COULDN’T SLEEP FOR SO MANY NIGHTS BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPIDNESS! I COULDN’T LIVE NORMALLY AND I WAS FEELING SO GUILTY ALL THE TIME!!!!’ I kept yelling. ‘AND THEN YOU COME AND SAY YOU LOVE ME????’
‘But I do,’ Mikel said quietly. I was gasping.
‘Do you have real feelings? Or are you just like Nick? After two weeks you will say you met another girl?’ I asked him angrily. ‘Or maybe I will have to feel thankful that you looked at me at all? After all, you are so famous and all that…’ I added with the same voice.
Mikel shook his head.
‘Beat me as many times as you want, but I will say the same,’ he said. And (oh God) he smiled to me. I was staring at him and couldn’t believe he could smile in such situation.
‘Stop smiling like a jerk,’ I said.
‘And you stop acting like a fury,’ Mikel replied.
‘I can’t believe it,’ I sniffed at him. ‘Look who’s talking…’
‘Mister perfect ass,’ Mikel said and I laughed! I started laughing so easily!
Mikel was watching me calmly. I laughed some more and then looked at him. He was looking at me seriously. I smiled.
‘Wanna a gummy bear?’ I asked him.
‘Nah, I have my own…’ Mikel finally smiled. He took one out of his pocket and put it into his mouth. He was chewing and I was thinking that he is the cutest thing on Earth. And what a sweet habit!
Mikel took my hand.
‘Look, I really meant what I said. I told you that I always mean what I say,’ Mikel said.
‘I know… I just had to tell you everything,’ I said.
‘I understand. But you do believe I love you, don’t you?’ Mikel asked me.
I came closer to him and then I kissed him. He had a taste of gummy bears... We were kissing for some time and when I finally leaned back I was happy.
‘And that’s for being so damn cute and for loving me,’ I smiled.
‘I told you it will end like that,’ he said and smiled too.
‘Don’t make me hit you again…’ I laughed.
‘Don’t make me go searching for a closet,’ Mikel replied.
‘It doesn’t sound as a bad idea… But I think cinema would be better,’ I said. Mikel pecked my forehead and put his arm around my shoulders.
‘Oh my, I can’t wait to present you to my family… I am sure you will like them,’ Mikel laughed.
‘Love is… weird,’ I only said. Mikel looked at me. ‘I thought I hate you and that you’d be the last person I could fall in love with… Happened to be that I love you really much…’ I said.
‘We cannot choose whom to love. Love chooses us and puts us in couples,’ Mikel said. ‘I am glad I was so lucky to get an angel,’ he added and kissed me again.
This time I was not only feeling right. I knew it WAS right.
