- Sorry, you were just babbling about eggs.
- Yeah, I tend to babble when I’m nervous.

- HAHAHAHA! It gets me every time!
- Ok, seriously now. Go look at that picture AFTER I say my bit.
- Okies, I’ll shut up now. He imitated zipping his mouth and throwing about the key.
- Good. I sat down next to him and took his hands. I don’t want you to take this the wrong way, but this is one of the hardest things I have had to do. Ever. I feel like this is the right decision for now, maybe I will not think the same in the future. I am so grateful for you offering to let me come with you to Seville, and organising, but I can’t come with you.
I heard him gasp. That was obviously not what he was expecting.
- Why?
- Well after last night I think that it may cause problems between us, and I don’t want to lead you on. I’m not in the same place as you right now, I need some time to sort my priorities out and get things straight in my head.
- I don’t understand.
- Javi I am not ready for a relationship with you, not under these circumstances.

- Sure. He smiled, but it did not reach his eyes.
I hugged him, hoping to try and make it better. I knew it wouldn’t help. I was such a horrible person to hurt him like this, but wouldn’t it hurt him more if I pretended to like him?
I had all these questions, but no answers.
- Well I better be going…

He led me through his house and to the front door.

I smiled at the memory of the poem.

He shut the door in my face, in what I guess was an angry gesture. He was obviously pissed. I left his house and half way up the path I heard a big crash. I didn’t know what it was but I assumed it was Javi throwing away the breakfast tray. I am such a crap bag.

I got home and only Mikel was there thank the Lord. I could not deal with Ony or Bryony.

- Who is it?! Mikel shouted from upstairs
- Just me…
- WHO!?
- ME! I shouted back.
- Who the hell is me!?
- ALISHA!!!
- What? She is meant to be with Javi!
- Well SHE has come back!
- Oh, I’m coming down now.

I went and fixed myself a drink and went and sat on the sofa. Mikel quickly joined me.

- Hey Hun! He hugged me. How come you are back so early? Did I miss the past two days?
- Nope, it’s a long story…
- I have time. Tell me.

So I told him all that had happened. He was sympathetic, I’m glad he is my brother. He promised to make me feel better. I don’t know how he was planning on doing that. He left the room for a minute and came back with a big tub of Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough ice-cream.

- Good call! I smiled at him.
- I know!
- Well it would be a good call if it wasn’t 11 o’clock in the morning! I’ll be sick.
- Ooh… Well maybe later. He smiled. Look, I have to go to training now, but I’ll be back later tonight and we can eat ice-cream then… deal?
- Deal.
