Part 18

So, we started being more than friends then. We were so in love. Javi had problems with concerts, because he always left in the last minute and was almost late every time. The other boys were a bit annoyed about it, but they understood him. Javi was in love. What was more important?

Three weeks later Javi wanted to introduce someone to me. He told he had a new friend, Sonia. I was confused.
- A friend? I asked and was a bit shocked.
- Yes, Javi nodded and hugged me, - But not THAT kind of friend, you silly! he laughed.
- But..., I didn't quite understand.
- We are just spending time together and talking and having fun, he explaned.
His eyes were innocent. I wanted to believe him, but somehow I was thinking what if everything would go like it did with me and him. If they would end up in to bed after all...
- Like you and I did? I asked suspiciously.
- Now you understood totally wrong, Javi replied and hugged me tightly, - and you're jealous, he continued.
I was feeling really bad. I WAS jealous, but I couldn't help it.
- I only want to be with you, you know, but can't I have friends then? he asked.
- Yes, but...
- But what?
- I don't trust you, I admitted.
- C'mon, Susana..., Javi showed a sad face. He took my hand and led me to sit on the couch.
- There's nothing else between me and her, he convinced me looking at my eyes.
- Erm...
- Listen, if you meet her, I'm sure you'll like her and you two can be friends as well, he explained.
- I don't want! I said angrily and sprang up from the couch and walked to the window.
- Why not? Javi asked and I heard he followed me and stood now behind me.
I turned around.
- How many girls do you have then? I was annoyed.
- What do you mean? Javi looked confused.
- As a friend, like you say..., I made a face.
- Well, she is the only one... and then there are you, my darling, he grinned and stepped closer wrapping his arms around me.
I was still pissed off. I pushed him away and walked to another window.
- Why you tell now? I asked and stared at out of the window.
- Cause I want that you meet her and see that she's ok... not a threat to you, Javi replied quietly.
I turned to him. He walked slowly to me. I believed him now. He didn't sleep with her.
- I'm sorry, I said and he took me in his arms and held me, caressed my back and hair.
- It's ok, he whispered, - I understand you, but there's nothing to worry about, dear.
Javi looked at me in the eyes.
- You, he said, - I love you, he whispered and kissed me.
And I loved him. I was crazy about him.

Next day we went to meet Sonia. She seemed to be a bit surprised when she saw me at the door together with Javi. He introduced us and Sonia asked us to enter the living room.
I saw that Javi hadn't told about me to her, but she tried to act as normally as possible. She was a sweet girl... and I saw she had a crush on Javi and Javi was so blonde that he believed it was pure friendship. We stayed there for about an hour. Then I said we have to go as I noticed Sonia was embarrassed.

o-oh.. trouble in the air.. Biig troubles..

- So, you liked her? Javi asked smiling when we were walking towards his car.
- Hmm... yes..., I mumbled in my thoughts.
- Susana! he stopped walking and looked at me.
- What?
- You didn't like her? he repeated his question.
- She has a crush on you, I said and stepped in the car.
Javi stepped in the car as well and stared at me.
- What did you say?
I rolled my eyes... then finally I looked at him.
- She is in love with you, I said.
Javi was speechless for a while.
- She's not, he said then and leaned his back against the seat and stared at something outside.
- Didn't you notice anything? I asked, - She was a way too much embarrassed all the time. She didn't know about me and... oh... I just can imagine how she feels now.
I felt really sorry for Sonia. Men are so blind sometimes.
- But... we have never done anything like... I mean I've never kissed her nor suggested anything else... nor touched too much..., Javi looked so confused.
- So... you wanna go back to her? I bit my lip.
He looked a bit scared when he looked at me again.
- Of course not! Don't you ever think anything like that, he said and touched my hand gently.
Then he started the engine and we drove through the city.

6 months later

Javi proposed me. It was the happiest day in my whole life so far. He wanted to be with me forever... and I wanted to be with him. But Javi was worried about Sonia. He had asked many times her to spend time with us, but she didn't come. I totally understood her. Javi invited her to the weddings, but she didn't come. She had moved away and I didn't see her for a long time, neither did Javi.
I got a job as a teacher in Barcelona. Javi and I couldn't see each others as much as we wanted, but this was only a temporary thing. I was looking for a job in Madrid all the time and I was sure I'd get one sooner or later. We still loved each others, though we had some hard times because of the distance.

hmmm, I dont like the thing that they are so far from each other.

Madrid

I had found a job in Madrid! I was so happy and I wanted to surprise Javi, so I didn't tell him on the phone. I had come in Madrid to see my new job and meet the people there and just when I had finished all the things related to my new job and was going to my car, I saw something.
Javi and Sonia in the street. Javi had obviously waited for her and she just arrived and they hugged and Javi gave a kiss to her lips!
I walked right away to them.
- Hey, what a surprise! I grinned when they saw me.
Sonia looked a bit scared. Javi looked a bit quilty.
- Hey, honey, he said and hugged me tightly and kissed me.
- I thought you'll come next weekend, he said then.
- So, I noticed, I said with an ironic voice.
- Erm... this is not what it looks like, Javi said and couldn't look at me in the eyes.
- No kidding? Well, I got a job here in Madrid, but maybe I'll keep the one in Barcelona..., I said and I was getting more annoyed and jealous when I saw Javi's face.
- I think I'll leave..., Sonia said quietly and left us.
- So, you let her go just like that? I asked Javi, - I wonder what game you've played with her while I've been in Barcelona, I said angrily.
- I haven't..., Javi tried to say, but I didn't let him speak, I was really mad now.
Tears were falling down on my cheeks. I turned my back on him and started walking away from him.
- Susana, wait, don't go! Let's talk! Javi exclaimed and I heard he followed me.
I started running. I felt he had betrayed me, cheated me. This had to be the end, the end of our marriage.
- Susana! Javi yelled after me.
And I ran faster, tears in my eyes...
- Noooo...!!!!! I heard Javi's voice echoing in my head.
