My Dear Diary,
It’s been many days since I opened the file. I found some papers inside with things that I didn’t understand. But I’m sure for one thing; there was no name in those papers. Mikel tried to help me by reading the papers again and again but he found nothing. Helen knew nothing about names and Monika tried to help me but her main thought was to avoid Mikel who was coming home from time to time.
Today we decided to go to a detective and ask if he could do something with the papers, maybe they were enough for him to find my parents. We had an appointment at 2 o’clock. I was going with Monika. Mikel wanted to come too but we agreed that he better didn’t.
So it was 2 o’clock and Monika and I were at the detective’s office. I think that Moni wanted to help me mostly because she wanted to forget Mikel just like I wanted to forget *you know whom*. We talked to the detective and he said that those papers had some important things that might help him find my parents. After his office, we went to a fast-food restaurant with Moni and ate lunch. We were talking and having fun when suddenly Mikel appeared.
“Hello” he said.
“Hey Mik” I said and saw that Monika was ready to stand up and leave.
“Don’t bother, I’m leaving” Monika said when I tried to ask her to stay.
She left and Mikel just kept standing.
“Oh…come on, sit down, she left, there’s nothing we can do about it”
He sat down and we talked.
“She’s breaking my heart Am, I love her, I need her back” he said desperately.
“Don’t worry Mikel, I’ll talk to her, she loves you too, she’s pushing herself so much to forget that, that she succeeds exactly the opposite.”
“Thanks Amanda”
After that we went for a walk to the mall and I bought some nice clothes. When I arrived home Laura called me. She said the same as usual, how great time they have with Basty, and how much she misses us. I talked a little bit with Basty too, he sounded really happy, I’ve never heard him talking like that. I’m really happy about him. I just love him, he‘s my big bro’!
It’s only 10 o’clock even so I’m very tired so I think I’m going to bed. Goodnight!

My Dear Diary,
Today was a big day because yesterday I said to Mikel that I would talk to Monika and that is today! I could say I was a bit nervous about her reaction.
I woke up at 12 o’clock. Ate breakfast and turned on my PC. He was online. 2 mails from Ony were waiting for me as always but the one was writing something unusual, it was writing “I hope you like surprises. Love you, Ony”. I just hope that it doesn’t mean what I think it means. I had a very pleasant chat with many on my friends. I also talked to Francesca who had left this morning for holidays to Tokyo. I glanced at the clock. 4 o’clock already. I decided it was time to talk to Monika. Helen had just left. I went to her room. She was listening to music.
“Monika, can we talk?”
“Yes of course, tell me” she said and turned off the music.
“It’s about Mikifu, please, just listen to me. Then you can do anything you want.”
“Ok, but I’ll do it just for you”
“Mikel loves you, he has regretted so much for what he had done. He can’t live without you. You should see him when he talks about you. His eyes shine and sometimes I think I can hear his heart beating. He needs you in his life. There are days that he looks like he hadn’t slept at all. I know you feel the same about him. Why don’t you try to forgive him instead of forget him because the only thing you succeed is love him even more day by day.”
“No Amanda, he betrayed me, you know how it feels. For the same reason why you don’t forget Ony”
“Ony hadn’t come all the way to Spain for me. He has done nothing to try to explain. But Mikel shows that he really loves you. I just can’t see him any more like that”
“You mean that if Ony had come to Spain you would forgive him?”
“No Monika, I will never forgive him for what he has done to me. He broke my heart into million pieces and with a sorry nothing can be fixed. But we are talking about Mikel here”
“I don’t know Am. I love him, it’s true, but…I don’t know, I need to talk to him, to get everything cleared but I’m afraid.”
“Don’t be, he loves you, that’s the point”
“Ok, I’ll talk to him”
“Great, thanks sis!”
After that I spent the rest of my day watching TV and reading. Monika called Mikel and they arranged to meet today at 8 o’clock. It’s 11 and she’s still not back. I hope that’s a good sign. I’m not in a mood to sleep but it’s late. I just hope I won’t have those dreams with Ony again. Goodnight…

My Dear Diary,
Till today I was a bit worried. Monika came home neither the day before yesterday nor yesterday. She wouldn’t answer her phone and Mikel either. I hoped that this meant that they were together and not that Monika had done something stupid. And I was right. Today at 10 o’clock he bell rang. I got up from the bed. Monika and Mikel were on the door. I was relieved to see that they were together.
“Hey sis” Monika said and they walked in. I closed the door and they sat on the sofa. I went after them.
“So tell me, I’m so worried” I said and both of them smiled at me.
“Well, Monika and I talked for hours the day we had the date, she listened to me, my excuse, my feelings, and then I listened to her.”
“I was about to tell him no and headed towards the door to leave when he grabbed my hand and we kissed” Monika said.
“She forgave me and yesterday we had a great time together”
“Wow, that’s great I’m so happy for you guys!”
“Yeah, we wanted to talk to you about that. Instead of being happy for us, you could be happy for you. Please Am; give Ony a chance to explain”
“Hey, 1stly, I don’t wanna hear his name and 2ndly, don’t change the subject”
“Hey, Ony is our friend and he’s very badly since you two broke up, and you too. For God’ sake, you’re spending every morning in the bathroom throwing up and you barely eat”
“I trusted him once and he broke my heart, what you want me to do?”
“Listen to him” Mikel said.
“No…at least not yet, I want to find my parents first, and then maybe I’ll think about it”
“Well, that’s a start” Moni said and smiled.
For the rest of the day I just wanted to be alone and think. I also called the detective but he said that this would take him a month. I watched some TV, Moni and Mikel left for a walk. I’m truly happy for them. They truly are meant for each other.
I listened to some music and then read some pages of Twilight. I received a message. it was from Jessica saying that they were having a great time and that they were leaving from Paris tomorrow and coming o Spain for the rest of the summer. Wow, already 12 o’clock , I think I’m going to try to sleep. Goodnight…

My Dear Diary,
Finally Laura and Basty arrived in Spain too. We’re all just like the old times, all the best friends together. Only *you know who* is missing. I bet he’s having a very nice time with Tania…Oh… never mind, it’s not that what I’m sad about. This year proved to be the worst in my life, today the detective called me and he wanted me to go to his office.
Laura came with me as Basty had other things to do and she was bored. We arrived at Mr. Massimo’s office at 4 o’clock after going for a meal. We entered at his office. He had a very serious look on his face. I didn’t know what to think.
“Miss Hernandez, I have some good and some bad news. the good news is that I found your parents” he said and looked at me.
“And the bad news?”
“Well, I’m really sorry but both your parents are dead”
“What?” I said and started to cry…
“One year ago, they had a car crush that cost them their lives. I’m terribly sorry”
“Now I’m never going to know them” I was shocked and I still am.
“Well, I’ve gathered some information about them” He said and gave me a brown file. I opened it at once.
My mother’s name was Leticia Lopez. She was the daughter of a rich man. When she was 18 years old she fell in love with the driver of the house whose name was Carlos-Daniel Solis. She got pregnant and her father threw her out of the house. The probable reason why they left me is because they didn’t have enough money to raise me up. They had no brothers or sisters. They died in a car crush on Christmas Eve. There were papers that proved that they had tried to find m, and a paper saying that my grandfather died after his daughter’s death from sadness. I inherited all the money. A lot of money, but all I wanted was my parents.
After that, Laura and I went to the graveyard. I put some flowers and talked to them. So…I was Amanda Lopez Solis. I went home and Laura left. I was thinking for many hours and decided that I wouldn’t let my love die with my parents. I would accept to talk to Ony if he wanted it too. I called Mikel and Monika (who are living together) and told them everything.
“Great sis, I’m glad because Ony is already on the plane coming to Spain.”
“What?”
“He was planning it for weeks”
“And you told me nothing?”
“Now we’re even. Oops, sorry, I have to go, Mikel is calling.”
“Ok, bye”
I hang up the phone and lied to my bed. I think I’m going to sleep, even though it’ll be hard after of what I learned. Goodnight…
