Part 5

I tried to fight back, but couldn't really do anything. He didn't let me go and damn, he was a good kisser. I felt my heart beating faster and I realized I was kissing him back. The kiss took for a long and I kinda forgot that I didn't like him. When we stopped, I realized my fingers were running through his wet hair and we were out of breath. He looked at my eyes, I was confused.
I took a step backwards. We were staring at each others for a while. Then I turned around and ran away. I was soon at my door and took the key and unlocked the door. I heard running steps behind me and I knew he would be at the door soon. I got the door open and I almost managed to close it, but Javi was faster and he stopped me from closing the door. For a while we both pulled the door. I tried to close it, Javi tried to open.
- Idiot! Let it go! I yelled.
- Why do you deny your feelings? he asked.
My hand slipped and he pulled the door open and he came in quickly. I pushed him back.
- Go away! I don't want you here!
Nothing helped. He was there and I didn't get him out. I was in trouble.
- Why don't you listen to me? I asked. I was tired of yelling him. It didn't have any use.
- Shh..., he just said and wrapped his arms around me and just hugged.
I just stood there. I was waiting he would stop it, but he didn't. He kissed my cheek carefully. I let it happen. I guess I expected him to stop while he realizes that I'm not interested. But he didn't stop. He took my head between his hands, he caressed my cheeks and kissed me gently. I understood he wouldn't stop. I was a bit worried. He pushed me against the door and pressed his body against mine. I felt he wanted me. I was a bit shocked, but he was gently and he kissed me in a way that I almost fainted. I was getting excited and for a moment I didn't know what I wanted. A part of me said no, another part yes. I was between these two options for a while, but when he started kissing my neck, the answer was yes. I wanted him badly and I showed it to him. We started ripping off our wet clothes, somehow we managed to go to a bedroom and we were wild, passionate and full of desire.

I woke up at half 6 in the morning. Javi slept next to me. I looked at my phone. There was a sms and I saw it was from... Marco! Oh, shit! What I had done?! I felt so quilty! Marco didn't even crossed my mind last night and now... I had cheated him. I felt sick. I got up quietly and went to the kitchen. I wrote a note for Javi.

"Javi, this was a big mistake. We can't continue this. I hope you leave right away after reading this. Don't come back. I'm sorry"

Then I got dressed and quietly left outside. I walked for couple of hours. I felt so bad. Marco... what would I say to him. I knew I couldn't just pretend that nothing had happened. I felt so stupid. Why I did it! I couldn't get it out of my mind. Marco... the man I thought I loved so much. I would have to tell him... but everything was over, I knew it. I had to move out, because it was his apartment. I walked to Marina's home. She was sleepy when she opened the door and she yawned.
- What the hell are you doing here at this time? she asked a bit annoyed.
- I'm sorry, but can I live here until I'll find a flat of my own?
- Why? What has happened? she was curious now and not sleepy at all.
- I slept with that D'Nash guy, I confessed and walked in her living room.
Marina stared at me mouth open.
- But... but... I thought you hated him?
- I did!... In fact I still do.. sort of..., I lowered my eyes.
- What about Marco?
- He doesn't know yet. I have to tell him, when he comes back from London... but it's over. I know... it just is!
- I'm sorry for you, Marina said quietly and hugged me.
- Thanks... So, can I stay here? I asked then.
- Of course! That's what friends are for.

Late in the evening I went back to Marco's place. I was hoping Javi wouldn't be there. He wasn't. I saw my note on the kitchen table. Something had been written under my message.

"You are great! I'm sorry I messed things up!"

Damn that guy! He ruined my life and now he says he is sorry! I was so mad at him! If he would have stood there now, I would have beat him up! I started crying.
I decided to start packing my things. I didn't know what Marco would say, but I couldn't live here anymore.

The few days before Marco came back were awful. I was feeling so bad, so quilty, so bitchy. I didn't even go for a walk. I didn't want to take the risk that I would see Javi again.

I was in the kitchen when Marco came home. He knew something was wrong, because he heard it on the phone. He looked around and he had a surprised face.
- What's going on? he asked, - It looks a bit empty here...
- I have to tell you something, I said quietly.
- What has happened? he looked at me seriously.
- I... well.. I... I... was... with someone...., I mumbled.
I was ashamed. Marco trusted me and I had betrayed him.
- With someone....? You mean you... were in bed? he asked surprised.
Tears were falling from my eyes.
- Yes..., I whispered and cried.
- But... I don't understand! Everything was perfect when I left here! he said and looked like he didn't believe me.
- I don't understand it either... But I can't make it undone..., I said and wiped away my tears.
Marco sat down on a chair. He looked a bit weak. He leaned his head to his hands.
- I'm leaving..., I said then.
He looked at me.
- No..., he said.
- What do you mean? I was confused.
- I don't want you to leave. I can get over this, he said, but I saw a sad look in his eyes.
- But I can't live with you anymore.
- You want to live with him?
- NO! I hate him!... but I can't look at you, because I betrayed you! I walked to the living room. Marco followed me.
- I said I'll get over it, he said and stood behind me, putting his hands to my shoulders.
- I can't live with it, I said, - You deserve much better. You're so kind and... and... I'm... I'm a bitch! I started crying again.
Marco didn't say a word. I turned and looked at him.
- Do you love me? I asked.
- I... I... want to be with you, he stuttered.
- Yes, but do you love me? Be honest now..., I asked.
- I guess I don't love you as much as I used to, he was embarrassed.
- I thought you would have acted a bit differently when I told you about.... about what happened. I feel like you don't really love me... and... and maybe it was time to end this anyway, I heard myself saying. I didn't know why I said that.
- You're leaving..., he said and looked so tired and sad.
- I have no choice. I have to start everything from the beginning... and I don't want to hurt you anymore. If I did that once, maybe that can happen again. I don't know myself anymore. I never thought I could do such a thing, but it was... it was... I don't know... it all happened so quickly, I explained and felt so stupid.
- Who is it? Marco asked.
I looked at him. I didn't want to tell.

- Never mind... it's not important...
- I want to know who is better than me, he said sarcastically.

- I don't know..., I said and took my handbag and walked toward the door.
- Where you're going? he asked then.
- To Marina. She promised I can live there until I'll find a flat. I've moved all my things already.
- I see.
- I'm so sorry about all this, I said and looked at him.
He just nodded.
- Then go... I guess this is it then, huh? he said.

- Yes? I turned back from the door.
For a moment I thought he would beg me to stay, but he seemed to think for a while what to say.

A month later I was still depressed. I had found a nice flat and I was living alone now. I started going for walks again, but since I was living in another place, I couldn't bump up with Javi, which was a relief. Once I saw Marco in a café and thought I'll go to chat with him, but then I changed my mind. I saw a girl walking to his table and they acted like they were in love or something. Then I realized Marco didn't think about me anymore. I had been thinking about him lately and was wondering if we could start once again... but now I saw we didn't have any chance.
I wasn't really sad about it. I had been thinking that maybe Marco and me weren't really meant for each others. We never had really passion in our relationship. Sometimes I thought about the night with Javi. I had to say that it was the best night I had ever had. But I didn't know him, I didn't love him... why should I have wanted more.

One Thursday evening I was watching TV. Suddenly D'Nash was there among other artists on a show. After the song they were interviewed and the one with a babyface... Miguel or something spoke a lot and Javi was standing next to him. He looked kinda tired and suddenly he looked at the camera and I read from his lips "María". I thought I saw wrong, but then he put his hand on his heart and then sent a kiss. I shut the TV off and my heart was beating like a crazy. Did he mean me? Why? I thought he couldn't remember me. But next morning I had forgotten the TV show and Javi. I didn't remember him for the whole day.
