Fifteen

“I can never trust you to do something right! NEVER!” Nette yelled while her brothers were trying to defrost. Nette was pacing up and down, swearing and cursing. “Maybe I must ask someone else..” “I-itt.. was no-o-ot our fault, Nette..” Shane said, shivering. “Than tell me who I do have to blame!” “Tho-o-Those fffairiess..” Kevin said. “Fairies? They don’t exist Kevin.” Kevin nodded firmly. “Ok, ok.. Tell me more about them..” Nette said and sighed annoyed. Shane began to tell what they saw, and why they were feeling like ice-cubes on a winter day on Antarctica.

“So.. If I got it right, Laura and Priya have two fairies who help them? And if I defeat them, I can finish Prisca’s job?” Kevin nodded. “But how do you defeat a fairy for Christ’s sake?” “If you make hot choco for us, we will tell..” Kevin said. Not much later the guys had a steaming cup in front of them. “Maybe I can help..” A dark voice said. A green hat appeared from the darkness of that corner, followed by the body of a boy. “And how could you, Peter Pan, help me?” “I know how to destroy a fairy..” He smiled and walked towards Nette. Nette looked devilish, though, curious at him. “First of all, fairies lose their power when humans stop believing in them. But I don’t think they will do that al the sudden.. Then there’s a plan B..” He smiled evil and looked from Nette, to her brothers and back to Nette. “And that is what? Call 0900-destroyafairy?” Shane joked. “Not exactly.. There’s a poison. For humans it’s rather tasty, but pour it to a fairy and it will die. Immediately after drinking it cannot fly anymore, and with the minute it’s power will get weaker and weaker until the venom has spread in it’s system and slowly kills the fairy.” Nette looked delighted at him. “Tell me more about the poison.” Peter sat down and began to tell. “It’s called ‘the poison of disbelieve’, and you can get it in the Valley of Doom.. You have to cross the Forest Of Hidden Fears first.. And that is scary..” “The only thing I’m scared of, is becoming an ice-cube again..” Shane said and shivered by thinking about it. “I said, the forest of HIDDEN fears.. Nobody knows which fear they have to face there.. That makes the place so scary, and trust me: I’ve been there and I’m not soon afraid of something.. But that place? It gave me the creeps..” He shivered terrified by remembering the place. “I will go by myself.” Nette said convinced of her success. Peter shrugged: “It’s on your own risk.. I can only warn you about it, what you do with the information is up to you..” “I won’t fail. My plan to kill those nasty fairies will succeed, and that will mean the end of Laura’s and Priya’s happy fairy tale life. Hahaha!” An evil laughter filled the whole room and in Nette’s eyes shined rage. Pure rage.

Part sixteen

Imke and Malene were still with staying with Laura, Priya and the guys. Suddenly Malene her face turned white as a sheet. “What’s up?” Imke asked her. “Vision.. Bad one..” Mikel noticed her face and beckoned her to come. Malene and Imke flew over. “What’s up? Did you saw a ghost or so?” “I wish it was a ghost.. I’m not scared of them.. No, I saw a vision.. And it eint a nice one..” Mikel got up and the girls flew after him. They separated from the others for a bit. “Good, tell me..” Mikel said and sat down. Malene sighed deeply and began to tell about Nette’s plan. Mikel’s face became a tad whiter as well. “We have a problem.. A big one.. We have to get Laura and Priya back to Madrid.. I think that, when Nette has the poison, nothing can stop her.. Am I right?” The fairies nodded sadly. “Is there a way to save you two?” Imke and Malene looked at each other. “The only way for us, is to go back to Fairy world, and never show up again here.. That’s the only way. And now the girls found you and now you are together, they won’t need us anymore.. Sorry Mikel, it’s the only way to survive..” Mikel nodded. “I understand. If you want, we will try to help.. I mean Basty and I. You did a lot for the girls, and we appreciate that.” “It’s ok..” Imke said and smiled. Mikel smiled as well. “Come, we have to tell it to the others..” The fairies nodded and they went back to the others. “Hey guys!” Laura smiled. “Are that.. Cherry cupcakes?” Imke said. Laura nodded. “O my God! I love them!” She took one and started to eat. “IMKE! For God’s sake!” Malene called her sister to sense. A face full of cherry jam turned to her. Malene shook her head. “We have some bad news..” Mikel said and took a cupcake. “What’s going on mate?” Basty said. “Malene has some bad news.. Nette is going after them in a try to destroy them.. To ruin your happiness girls.. We have to go back to Madrid, and they need to go back to Fairy world. There is no change we will see them ever again. Fairy world is the only place where they are save for Nette her plan.. I’m sorry..” He looked down at his feet. “Nette will go after the poison of disbelieve. It’s made of cranberries and black berries, mixed with half a liter rum.. It’s awful, and we are dead within two hours.. Right after drinking we can’t fly anymore..” Malene explained. Imke putted the cupcake down. “I never liked that stuff.. Mum always warned us for it..” “Well, we have to go back home.. I’m so sorry girls..” Malene said and flew to them to give them a hug. Also Imke flew to the girls. “Bye Imke, bye Malene.. We won’t forget what you did for us. Thank you so much.. After all those years we can be happy..” Laura smiled sadly and wiped quickly a tear away. Malene smiled as well. “It’s ok sweety. That’s where fairies are for..” Also Basty and Mikel got a hug, and the fairies left, trying to run from the danger. Also the others got up and packed everything. “Let’s go home.. You can stay in our place.” Basty suggested. “Thanks guys..” Laura said and took his hand. Slowly they walked into the forest, back to the house of the girls.
