Part 22

Minna and Javi were in the hospital. José was with Angie. She really enjoyed being with him and the boy seemed to like Angie as well.
Minna was nervous. So was Javi. He wanted to say to her something that would change her mind, but he didn't know what it would be. So he said nothing. Minna was walking around the waiting room. In a while they looked at each others. Javi walked to her.
- Honey... I don't know what to say, he started.
- It's ok. You don't have to say anything, Minna replied, - Being here with me is enough.
- I'm sorry that this has to go like this..., Javi said quietly and took her in his arms and hold her tight.
- Yea..., she replied.
- I still would like you to change your mind..., Javi said and swallowed. Tears weren't far away.
- I know...
- I'd do anything to help you... I'll take a long vacation from D'Nash, if you just decide to keep it, he whispered.
Minna heard her name mentioned. It was her turn to go.
- I have to go, she said.
Javi looked at her seriously. His eyes were desperate and full of sadness.
- I'll wait for you here, he said whispering and a tear fell down on his cheek.
- Thanks..., she said and walked after the nurse.
At the door she turned to look back. Javi was looking at her.
- Te quiero..., he whispered.
Minna almost returned to him, but she remembered that she had made the decision already and went after the nurse. She heard Javi's and Angie's voices in her head. " How can you do it?", "You said in the hospital that you killed Harri... and almost our son as well... erm... what do you think you're doing now?", " I'll take a long vacation from D'Nash, if you just decide to keep it" "a part of me, a part of him".
Minna was confused. Her thoughts were in a mess.
- So, you're prepared to this? the nurse asked, - Everything is alright? The doctor will come soon.
Minna could only stare at the wall.

Javi walked around nervously. It took for a long time and he thought he couldn't stand it much longer. He looked around and saw a young girl sitting on a chair and looking scared. Javi thought her choice was an abortion as well. She was alone and Javi thought he should talk to her, but his own sorrow didn't let him go to her. Why others don't want a child and others want it desperately? he was thinking. Life is unfair sometimes...

Finally after a long wait Javi saw the same nurse that took Minna to the room, coming toward him.
- Mr. Álvarez? she asked.
- Yes?
- You can go to your wife now. She wants to talk to you, she said and smiled to him.
Isn't a smile a bit too much for this situation, Javi thought annoyed, but left right away to his wife.
He saw Minna laying on the bed and looking better than before. She must be so happy now, when there's no baby anymore, Javi thought.
He sat down next to her bed and took her hand to his.
- How are you? Javi whispered.
His throat was dry and it was difficult to speak.
- Fine..., Minna replied and smiled.
- You're relieved? he asked.
- Yes... Now I know I made the right decision, she smiled.
- Eh... yes... if you think so... it's the most important thing that you feel fine, Javi said quietly and felt that he would cry soon.
- You don't seem to be very happy? Minna asked.
- Happy? Javi exclaimed, - Should I be happy?
- Well... didn't you want this? Minna was surprised.
- Are you out of your mind? No! I thought I told you clearly many times! Javi was almost angry. Why she was teasing and playing games with him...? He buried his face to his hands.
- Oh... then I should really have done it, Minna said and almost cried.
Javi thought he heard wrong and raised his head.
- Do what? he asked looking at her.
- The abortion of course, Minna said and sounded a bit pissed off.
- Abortion...? But... wait a minute... you did it, right? Javi didn't understand anything.
- No, I didn't.
- Aa... no? But.. but... you... Do you mean you changed your mind? Javi was staring at her eyes wide open.
- Yes... didn't she tell you? Minna asked confused, - I thought the nurse told you...
- No, she didn't..., Javi was still staring at her, - You mean... that.. you're still pregnant, right?
- Yes... that's what it means, Minna smiled.
- Oh, God! Javi sobbed and hugged her tightly. - I love you, you know, you just made me the happiest man in the world, he whispered to her ear. Then he drowned her into kisses.
The nurse interfered them.
- Ahem... How do you feel now? she asked Minna.
They had already given anesthetics to her when she had said she didn't want that abortion after all and then she had fallen asleep. The doctor had stopped the whole thing and when Minna was awake again, the doctor had had a long talk with her and she had said that she made a good decision, because despite of all the problems she still wanted to have the baby, so she was sure that Minna will solve the problems as well.
- Yes, I'm fine, Minna said and the nurse said she could leave soon then.
She left the room and Minna and Javi were alone again.
- So, you're ready for a long holiday then? Minna was teasing Javi, but he looked at her seriously and gently.
- Yes... I am. For you I'm ready for anything, he said and kissed her gently caressing her cheek.
- I'm so lucky to have you, Minna whispered and touched gently his stubbled chin.
- So am I, Javi smiled.

She kept the baby. Smart decision. I saw once abortion on a video during one biology class. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the tiny babybody fighting to survive. It was so sad.

In the cottages Angie and Mikel were having fun with José.
- I'm gonna steal this kid from Javi! Mikel laughed when he was playing hide and seek with José, who only wanted to hide, but not seek.
- What a cruel joke, Angie laughed.
- Yea, but I'm sure he won't mind if we return him in time.
Angie got serious.
- I wonder if everything is ok there, she looked worried.
- With Minna? Mikel asked.
- Yes... I can't believe she wants an abortion. I could never do it, she was in her thoughts.
- I'm sure she had a good reason to do it, Mikel said and came to sit opposite Angie.
José pulled Mikel's hand and demanded him to play more hide and seek.
- She said she is tired to take care of a child all the time.
- Well, then it's the truth, Mikel said and grabbed José in his arms.
Angie looked at Mikel and José.
- You look cute together, she grinned.
- Of course! We are the most handsome men in the world! Mikel grinned back.

Basty was sitting outside with Marisa. Ony was on the dock and tried to fish.
- Have you talked? Basty asked Marisa.
- No... I don't want.
- You should.
- Why?
- Because you need to solve your problems. You can't go on, if you don't talk, Basty said looking at Ony on the dock, then she looked at Marisa.
- You have to decide...
- What?
- If you're going to stay together or not.
- I... don't even know..., Marisa looked away.
She was embarrassed to talk about this with Basty, but somehow it helped her. Basty was a good listener and he was impartial.
- You don't know? Basty was surprised.
- No... all this is so confusing. He says he wants to be with me and loves me, but still he did things with Carmen... what if he is like that always? Is it just a question of time when he will have sex with someone else?
- Well, I don't think he is like that... but you should really talk to him and say these things to him.
- I can't. We start arguing all the time we try to speak, Marisa complained.
- Then try not to get mad.

Marisa sighed as well. They were quiet for a while.
- Ahem... Marisa? Basty remembered then something.
- Yes? Marisa looked at him questioning.
- Do you happen to know a good place for a... date? Basty said and looked really embarrassed.
- A date? Marisa stared at him, - You have a date?
- Well... aa... something like that... yes.., he confessed.
- Do I know her? Marisa smiled.
- Aa... do I have to tell? he asked and grinned.
- No, but I have a wild guess who it could be! Marisa grinned back.
- Then keep it yourself, Basty laughed, - but do you have any place in mind?
- Well, actually I have..., she smiled and told Basty a perfect place to go in Helsinki.

Javi and Minna left the hospital. Javi was so happy that he wanted to do something fun, before they would go back to the cottages.
- I want to do something now, something special, Javi said smiling.
- So, what do you wanna do? Minna smiled back.
She was really happy to see Javi so happy and relieved. She was so sure now that keeping the baby was the right thing to do. Javi wanted this child so much that she would have died if she had to see more his pain. And he promised to help with the baby, take a long vacation, so... was there a problem actually? Minna was thinking.
- I don't know, but I'd like to be alone somewhere, just you and me, he grinned.
- Do you know what I want? Minna asked.
- Tell me!
- I want to have a pizza!
Javi laughed.
- A pizza? That's not very special, he laughed.
- But I want to eat it on the beach... or we could go to the cottages... we'll hide from the others and go on the shore somewhere and eat the pizza there...
- With Coca Cola! Javi grinned.
- Yes and for a dessert... well... I think we'll make up something, she winked.
Javi grinned and hugged her.
- I know what's on your mind, he whispered and kissed her then.

Basty was nervous. He was going to pick up Katja and now he was ringing her doorbell. He felt his hands were sweaty and he felt a bit dizzy as well. Katja opened the door.
- Hi! Basty said shyly and gave her a red rose.
- Hi! Nice to see you! Oh, for me? she was surprised to have a rose.
- Yes, for you, Basty smiled.
- Thank you! This is beautiful, Katja said and blushed a bit.
- So, are you ready? Basty asked.
- Yes, I just take my handbag, Katja said and disappeared for a second from the door. Then she came back and closed the door.
- Let's go! she smiled.

Part 24

Ony was still fishing. Trolling was fun, though he never had really thought fishing could be fun. Now he didn't have any better things to do and when he had found equipments, he had tried trolling and decided to learn it better. After few days he could throw the lure far and he had already caught some small fishes. The more he practised, the better he was and now he was changing lures in a while and tried to learn which were good ones. The good thing was that he didn't need to think about him and Marisa all the time, though he noticed in a while that he was thinking about her again. He was hoping they could talk and clear the air between them.

Marisa was in her cottage reading magazines and drinking red wine. He tried not to think about Ony, but she couldn't help it. After a while her thoughts returned back to him.
Angie and Mikel enjoyed the time with José. They didn't have a clue that Minna and Javi were already on the cottages, sneaking around there and finally without anyone seeing them, they managed to go on the shore a bit further from the cottages. Nobody could see them, the place was perfect.

Basty and Katja were in a restaurant having a dinner.
- How did you bring us here, Katja asked, - This is my favourite place in Helsinki.
Basty was surprised, but didn't want to say who told him this place.
- Aa... well..., he smiled, - I thought this place could be perfect for you!
Katja laughed.
- So, you're reading my mind already?
- Noo..., Basty laughed, - maybe we just like same things!
Katja was happy. She never imagined she could meet a guy who knew how to treat a woman. All the guys she had met so far, had been really jerks, but Basty... She liked him more and more and she felt she can be herself with him.
After the dinner they changed a place and went to dancing and during the last slow song Basty gave a tender kiss to Katja's lips.
- I like you very much, he whispered.
- I like you too, Katja replied smiling.

Minna and Javi were having fun on the shore. They sat close to each others and ate pizza, in a while they fed each others and laughed a lot, but mostly it ended to a kiss. After the pizza they just sat and stared at the setting sun. Javi was sitting behind Minna his arms around her and his chin on her shoulder.
- This evening was great, Javi said quietly.
- I agree. I've missed a lot these moments alone with you, Minna replied, - You know, we never seem to have any problems when we can be more together.
- You're right... everything is so clear, when we're together, but when we're apart, we easily have fights and all kind of shit happens, Javi said.
- We should be more together..., Minna said quietly still staring at the lake and the beautiful colors the setting sun created.
- I know... but there'll be a time when there's no D'Nash anymore. Then we can surely be more together.
- Unless we haven't gotten bored with each others before it, Minna laughed and Javi growled and pretended to bite her neck.
- You teaser! he laughed and soon they were rolling on the ground and laughing.
Then Javi ended up on top of her and he looked at her eyes.
- Time for the dessert, he whispered and tasted her lips.

Basty took Katja back to her home. They had talked a lot and laughed a lot and they hoped this evening would never end, but now it was time to say good night.
- So, here we are, Basty smiled when they stopped at Katja's door.
- Yes, it was fun, Katja said.
- Shame, that I have to go already, Basty said.
- Yes... but we can meet again, Katja said shyly.
- That would be great. I'll call you tomorrow, Basty promised and then he stepped closer and kissed Katja. First gently, in the end passionately. When he stopped, both were out of breath.
- Perfect, Basty whispered and caressed her cheek.
They were staring at each others' eyes.
- I... have to go now, Katja mumbled.
She was confused and she didn't want to admit it, but she was falling in love with him. She was hoping Basty would be the one that could go on her way, not too fast. She wanted to know him better, before she could trust him completely. But the beginning was really promising.
- Me too, Basty said and then he hugged her and gave a kiss to her cheek.
- Good night... I hope you have good dreams, he smiled.
- I know I will, Katja said and then Basty was gone.

It was past midnight when Minna and Javi decided to leave the shore. Angie and Mikel thought they were still in the hospital and they had promised to take care of José over the night, so they didn't need to tell anyone anything yet. They went to their cottage and straight to bed. Both needed to sleep and they were laying in the bed in each others' arms.
- Honey? Do you sleep already? Javi asked.
- Mmh... almost..., Minna mumbled.
- Why did you changed your mind about the abortion? Javi asked.
It was important for him to know it.
- Oh... well... mostly because of you... I thought a lot about the things you said. And also what Angie said... and then I thought about how you looked like. You were so sad and I realized how important the baby was to you.
- You did it for me? Javi was surprised.
- Well, I thought that things aren't so bad, if you'll be with us... I mean you promised to take a vacation... and why I shouldn't give you your baby if that's what you want. And I... I didn't want to be a killer...., she sobbed.
- No... honey, you mustn't think like that! Javi said and caressed her hair.
- But you said I'd be, remember?
- I didn't mean it like that...
- You did, I know, but... it doesn't matter. I guess I never really wanted that abortion. I just thought that... it would be the best solution... I really was tired of taking care of kids. And I still am, but I think it's better now here, when Angie wants to help and she likes José so much.
- They all like him, Javi grinned.
- Yes...
- Then I'm relieved that things are ok now with you. I felt so helpless, 'cause I didn't know how to help you.
- You helped me more than you know...
- Good, Javi whispered.
He kissed her forehead and soon the cottage was quiet. They fell asleep and slept a long night, peacefully and close to each others.

Part 25

The next few days passed by quickly. Javi and Minna spent most of their time together and with José. Mikel and Angie were like pigeons, happy and always together. Basty disappeared somewhere in the evenings, but in daytime he spent a lot of time with Ony and Minna and Javi, if they weren't somewhere alone. Ony was really into fishing. He was now really good at it. He often took the boat and rowed farther on the lake. He already caught big fishes and he even prepared their meals of them. The others were really impressed, but Marisa didn't even come to the table, if Ony had cooked. Marisa was alone a lot. In a while she talked with Minna and Angie, but she was depressed and didn't mind company.

A week later Ony felt that he had to talk to Marisa. He couldn't stand the silence anymore. He walked to her cottage and went in. Marisa was reading a magazine. That's what she had been doing almost all the time. She didn't pay any attention to Ony, though she knew he was there.
- Marisa? Ony said quietly, - We need to talk.
Marisa looked at him.
- There's nothing to talk about, she replied coldly.
- I think there is... what about our marriage? Ony looked at her seriously.
He was really afraid of her answer.
- It was a joke, she said and continued reading.
- A joke? How can you say so? Ony stared at her.
Marisa sprang up from the couch.
- The way you're treating me! What else it is?! A big fat joke! You're not taking me seriously! she yelled, - This marriage is over, Antonio! I can't stand this anymore! Now LEAVE!!
Marisa was furious. Ony had never seen her like this. He stepped backwards and turned then and left. He didn't know what to do or where to go. She said it's over, he could only think. Over? No! It can't be! Ony was standing outside and suddenly he started crying. The bad feeling he had had inside him for a long time came out now.
- And here's your bloody ring! Marisa had come to the stairs of the cottage and she took her wedding ring off her finger and threw it toward Ony.
- I don't wanna see you anymore! she yelled and slammed the door behind her.
Ony was shocked. How could she do like that!

Minna and Javi had come to look what was the noice they heard. Ony was standing there on the yard and tears were falling on his cheeks.
- Ony? What's wrong? Javi went to him and walked him to their cottage.
Ony just cried. He wasn't able to speak anything. Javi made him to sit down on the couch.
- What happened? Javi asked and sat down next to him.
- Marisa and you had a fight? Minna asked carefully.
José was staring at Ony.
- Ony cry? he asked.
- He is sad, his mum said and took him in her arms.
- Yes..., Ony sobbed, - She... wants to divorce....
Minna and Javi looked at each others. This was what they both had been afraid of.
Ony cried so much that Javi had to hug him and he tried to make him feel better.
- Try to calm down a bit... let's talk about it then, ok? Javi said and Minna took José to the kitchen and started making some coffee.

Finally they were sitting in the kitchen and sipping coffee.
- I can't believe she did that, Minna said after Ony had told everything.
- She did... I thought we could talk, but... she threw me out and the ring..., Ony bursted into tears again.
- I'll talk to her. But she is really hurt, you know..., Minna said.
- ...and you should have listened to me, Javi continued.
- Yea, yea... no need to say it anymore, Ony wiped away his tears.
- You want her back? Minna asked.
- I don't... know anymore, Ony said and got up from the table.
- What are you going to do? Javi asked.
Ony walked to the door and turned.
- I... well... I think...
But he couldn't finish his sentence. Marisa rushed in and for a second they were standing face to face.
- What the hell are you doing here? Marisa said angrily.
- Well, the same question to you! Ony started getting annoyed.
- Maybe you should find Carmen... She must miss you damn lot! Marisa yelled.
- How many times I have to tell that I have nothing to do with her anymore! Ony yelled back.

Minna and Javi were shocked. They looked at each others and then Minna took José and decided to take him away from there. That wasn't suitable for a small child. Minna saw that Marisa was drunk. She whispered to Javi that he would keep on eye Ony and Marisa. Javi nodded.
