Part 13

Katja walked to Basty when she saw him finishing the call.
- I have to go back to work, Katja said, - I'll come to see Minna later.
- Ok... Thank you for your help, Katja, Basty said and hugged her.
- Well, we had to do something, Katja replied, - And I'm happy we found them.
- So am I.
Basty smiled to Katja and then kissed her cheek.
- Thanks again! I hope I will see you soon!
Katja smiled back confused. Basty's smile touched her heart.
- Maybe we'll see here again, she said and then she had to go.
She looked behind her at the door and Basty was looking at her and he waved her.
Katja smiled. He is handsome, she thought.

Marisa entered the room carefully. Minna was laying on the bed and José was with her. The look in her eyes was empty.
- Minna...? Marisa said carefully, - How are you?
Minna turned to look at Marisa, but didn't even smile. Marisa had never seen her like this. She felt terrible for her.
- I've... been better..., she said quietly.
They were quiet for a while.
- How's Javi? Minna asked then quietly, almost whispering.
- He is... uhm... shocked and he thought you really wanted to leave him, Marisa told.
She saw that Minna started crying again.
- Everything will be just fine, Marisa tried to comfort her.
- I killed him! Minna said suddenly, - How can I live with it!
- No, it was an accident! Basty and Katja saw it! Katja said that it was self-defence... you're not to blame!
- But still... I caused it.
- It's not your fault, you hear me? Marisa raised a bit her voice, - In my opinion he really deserved it! And you also saved José, that's more important.
- I saved José? Minna looked at her confused.
- Yes, you don't remember?
- No.. all I remember is the sight of José falling down like Harri did. I don't understand how José is here now..
- But José didn't fell..., Marisa said and realised that Minna was really upset and she didn't remember all the happenings.
- Marisa?
- Yes?
- Could you take José and take care of him? The doctor said he can leave the hospital.
- Yes, of course, Marisa promised and she had tears in her eyes.
It was so hard to see her friend like this.

Javi was feeling terrible in the hospital. The pain was so huge. He hardly saw his friends around the bed... and he was still drunk.
- Javi... Javi, can you hear me? he heard someone saying.
I don't care anything anymore. I've lost everything that was important to me, Javi thought.
- Javi, listen to me. Minna and José are found. They are ok.
- Ony? Javi asked and turned his head to look at Ony.
He had an empty look in his eyes.
- Yes, it's me. Did you hear what I said? Your wife and son are found. Harri kidnapped them.
- What? Javi stared at him eyes wide open.
- They are found! Ony repeated.
- Where are they? Javi sobbed and seemed to rush up from the bed, but Mikel stopped him.
- Not so fast, Javi.. calm down now. Just take it easy.
- I need to see them! Javi raised his voice.
- You will, but you have to pull yourself together at first, ok? Ony said.
Angie had watched this episode quietly and now she started crying. Mikel hugged and comforted her.
- Don't be afraid, darling, Javi will be ok. It's just takes a little time, he said quietly to Angie.

Marisa came with José from Minna's room. Basty was waiting for them.
- How is she? Basty asked and took José in his arms.
- She is really confused. She thought José fell down from the roof, Marisa replied and sat down for a while.
- Oh... sad to hear that.
- It is.
- I called to Ony, Basty said seriously.
- Yes?
- They are at the hospital as well...
- Why? Marisa was surprised.
- Javi almost drowned. He is really in a bad condition now, Basty explained.
Marisa almost cried.
- Why everything goes all wrong? Marisa said and wiped away her tears.
- I don't know, Basty said.
- Are they here as well? Marisa asked then.
- I don't know, I didn't ask.
- I'll call to Angie and ask.

They all really were at the same hospital. Basty, Marisa and José went to see Javi and the others.
Even Ony and Marisa seemed to forget their disagreements and they hugged.
- What a terrible day, Ony said.
- Yes... I hope tomorrow is better..., Marisa replied.
For a moment they both thought maybe they could make things up, but they remembered their latest arguement and the thought disappeared.

- How's Javi? Can he see José now? Basty asked.
- Maybe it would do good for him, Mikel said, - He almost left to see Minna and José when Ony told that they were found.
- Well, in that case..., Basty said and headed to Javi's room with the boy.

Javi was staring at the ceiling, when Basty came in with José.
- Look, papi is there, Basty said to the boy.
- Papi!! José yelled.
Javi turned his head to them and looked at them distrustful.
- José? he said with a tired voice, - José? My boy? he sobbed and started crying.
- Javi, calm down, Basty said and lifted José to Javi's arms.
He hugged the boy right away tightly.
- I thought I'll never see you again, he sobbed.
José seemed to be a bit confused. He didn't know why his dad was crying. He started crying as well. Soon he calmed down however when Javi stopped crying and talked to him nicely.
Then Javi remembered his wife.
- How is... she? he asked Basty.
- Well... it's a long story.. she is here at the hospital but she is shocked and she seem to have a sort of amnesia. Harri is dead and she saw it...and...and José almost... well... let's talk about it later! Basty tried to smile.
- José almost what? I want to know! Javi demanded.
- Fell down from the roof..., Basty said quickly and was afraid of Javi's reaction.
- WHAT! Javi was shocked, - Oh no! My little boy!
José got scared of his dad's voice and cried again. Javi comforted him and hugged again.
- Shh... don't cry... everything is fine..., he whispered.
- Let's talk more tomorrow, ok? Basty said then as he noticed Javi was still a bit drunk and that José needed food.
- Ok..., Javi said with a sad face and let Basty take José.
- Bye bye, José! Javi waved and he had tears in his eyes again.

Part 14

The night was long for Javi and Minna. The others didn't sleep well either, except José who slept innocent child's dream.
In the morning they all decided to visit Javi and Minna. They couldn't get any peace, before they knew how they were.

The doctor came to Minna's room.
- How are you today? he asked.
- Don't know..., Minna replied depressed.
She had had nightmares about yesterday. In her dreams she had seen Harri felling down from the roof over and over again and then José as well. She had woken up sweating and gasping.
- I have the results of your blood tests. Everything else is normal, except that... you're pregnant, the doctor said and looked worried.
- Did you know about this? he asked.
Minna was shocked. She couldn't be pregnant!
- I... I.. well.. eh... I didn't..., she stuttered.
- Did that man do something to you? the doctor asked.
- You mean raped? No!
- Ok, good. Otherwise you could leave for home, but your memory isn't quite ok yet, so you'll have to stay for couple of days.
- Ah... ok..., Minna said and she felt like dying.
Pregnant! Why now? I don't want another child now! she thought and when the doctor had gone, she started crying.

Javi had slept a bit better now. He was glad he had seen José already and today he wanted to see Minna. Also the doctor had said he could leave the hospital, when his friends come to see him. Javi had recovered well from the happenings of yesterday. He was sober now and he didn't think of dying anymore. He had a reason to live and it was his family - his wife and son, though he was a bit worried about seeing his wife again.

At noon Marisa, Ony, Angie, Mikel, Basty and José were at the hospital again. First they went to see Javi and they were surprised that he was like a different man. José ran right away to his dad´s arms and they both were so happy to see each others again.
- Papi! I missed you! José yelled.
- I missed you too, but now we are together, Javi replied, smiled and caressed José's hair.
- Shall we go to see Minna now? Marisa asked.
- Of course! Javi replied and soon they headed toward the part of the hospital where Minna was.

The news they heard about Minna weren't good ones, however. She had now a deep depression and she hardly spoke anything. One of them could go with the boy at first to see her. Marisa took José and went to see her. She opened the door and entered the room with José. Minna was by the window and staring at outside.
- Minna? Marisa said carefully.
She was holding José's hand in hers. José seemed to realize somehow that his mom wasn't quite ok.
- José is here, Marisa said then, when Minna didn't say anything to her, but she still didn't react.
Marisa took José in her arms and walked next to Minna.
- Minna, José is here, your son, she said and touched her.
- Äiti? José said and looked at his mom.
Then Minna turned her head and looked at José.
- José..., she whispered, - Is it really you?
- Yes, it's José, Marisa said, - Take him...
Minna took José carefully in her arms and hugged him.
- My son... Mom doesn't feel so well at the moment. I need to rest and you can be with Marisa.
- Minna... Javi is taking care of him now, Marisa said and felt restless.
- Javi..., Minna whispered and tears were falling from her eyes.
She gave José back to Marisa.
- Äiti! Jose sobbed.
- Go with Marisa, José... be a good boy, Minna said and turned back to the window.
The empty look returned to her eyes.
Marisa was shocked. Minna seemed to be really down. Marisa went back to the others and told what had happened. Meanwhile Basty had told Javi everything about Harri and Javi was confused and shocked. Marisa warned Javi about Minna... that she wouldn't be the same...

Javi opened the door and went in. Minna was still by the window, staring at something. Javi walked slowly closer.
- Minna?
She didn't reply. Javi walked carefully next to her. He was really feeling awful to see her like this.
- Honey? he said and touched her shoulder.
- Look at me, please, he whispered.
Finally Minna looked at him and she was like she didn't know him. Javi got scared. For a while they just stared at each others, then Minna seemed to know him.
- Javi? she whispered.
- Yes, it's me... I was so worried about you, Javi whispered back and took her hands to his.
- I'm sorry, Minna said then.
- I understand, but it wasn't your fault... you had no choice, Javi said and hugged her carefully.
But Minna didn't hug back. Javi thought she felt really strange, like it wasn't really her. Her body was there, but her mind was somewhere else. Javi didn't want to give up, he held her close for a long time, but finally he got tears in his eyes. He felt so bad... like she really wanted to leave him. Was it true after all?
- I love you... and I need you... please, come back, Javi sobbed and held her tighter.
- I see him dying all the time, Minna said suddenly and Javi released her and looked at her scared.
- Who? he dared to ask.
- Harri. I killed him... and José too.
- José is alive, don't you remember? You saved him!
- I see him dying...
- Minna, you are free from Harri now! He can't hurt you anymore and José is fine! Javi felt huge fear. What if she won't recover...?
- Leave me now... go..., Minna said and turned away.
Javi felt so helpless. He decided to go and tell the others what the situation was.
- Ok... I'll come to see you soon, honey! Javi said, touched her arm and walked to the door.
- Javi? Minna said after him.
- Yes? he turned to look at her.
- I'm pregnant, she only said and turned back to the window.
It was like a slap to his face! Pregnant? Now? He opened the door and went out. He felt dizzy and he saw the faces of the others and they looked worried. Mikel rushed to him and helped him to sit down on a chair.

This just aint good. Why are you writing so sad parts? But great parts.

Part 15

- Javi? Basty came closer, - What's wrong?
- She... ah.. well... is pregnant! Javi said confused.
The others went quiet and stared at Javi.
- Yours? Ony dared to ask what the others were thinking.
- I... don't... know, Javi replied and buried his face to his hands, - She was really weird and... I don't understand anything..., he said quietly.

Javi wanted to stay in the hospital and talk again to his wife. Basty wanted to stay with Javi. Mikel and Angie decided to go back to the cottages and Ony left with them, when Marisa said she'd stay as well. José stayed with his dad.

Basty was walking around in the corridoor. Javi needed support and he wanted to be there if he needed him, but waiting wasn't so fun. He was also worried about Minna. She was his friend and once he had been in love with her. He remembered all the good moments with her back in Ylläs. He smiled. He still had warm feelings for her and he was glad he had done something to save her now. Suddenly he saw Katja walking in the corridoor. He got delighted.
- Hey, Katja! Nice to see you here! Basty was greeting.
- Hey! Well, I came to see Minna... how is she? Katja smiled shyly.
- Not so fine. She has a depression, but Javi is much better now, Basty replied and started walking with Katja toward the others.
- Good for him and José. I hope Minna gets better, Katja said.
- Me too. The doctor had said she needs time, but it's impossible to say how much.
- Yes... Hei, Marisa! Katja greeted her friend and they hugged.
- Hei, Katja! Nice to see you! Marisa said.
- Hi! I'm Javi, Javi said to Katja and hugged her, - I heard you did a good job. I want to thank you for it, he said.
- Well, you have to thank Marisa and Basty as well, they started to look for her at first. And Minna managed herself really well too. She saved José and... and... well... you do know, Katja said embarrassed. She knew how big shock Harri's death was to Minna, because she was thinking it was her fault.
- Could you talk to her? Javi asked then.
- About what happened? Katja asked.
- Yes... but only if the doctor agree..
- Sure. If I can help, I really want to do it, Katja replied.

The doctor said it would be good, if Katja could talk to Minna and also Basty and Marisa should tell their versions of the happenings to Minna. She needed her friends really and also she needed to know what really had happened. They all had a long day in the hospital. In a while Javi and José went to see Minna, but she only spoke to José. Javi was so sad, because Minna didn't seem to notice him at all. He tried to be patient and he was hoping the other problems would be solved soon.
Marisa, Basty and Katja visited Minna in their turns and talked to her and told everything they remembered about the case and tried to help her that way. Minna seemed to listen to them, but didn't say much except with Marisa she talked a bit. Marisa thought she was feeling a bit better maybe. Before they left the hospital Javi went to see her once more with José. Again Minna saw only the boy. Javi looked at her and he thought she was almost normal with José... she just ignored him and that wasn't normal. She has progressed a bit, Javi thought, I wish I knew what's going on inside her head.
- We'll come back tomorrow then, Javi said finally and tried to see any kind of sign on her face that she heard him. She had to hear him, because she took the boy in her arms and hugged him tightly.
- Mom loves you, she whispered to him. José hugged back.
Javi felt tears in his eyes. Doesn't she love me anymore..., he thought and was so confused.
- Minna... the baby..., Javi wanted to ask about it, but didn't know really what to say.
Then Minna looked at him. Javi got scared.
- I don't want it, she said.
- Well... eh... if you feel so..., Javi stammered and stared back.
- I love José, but I don't want another one, Minna said.
Her eyes were strange.
- I... understand..., but...
- Listen, Minna interrupted Javi, - I have to go through all this. I have to think Harri. I once loved him... I... I wanted to save him, but I coudn't, when he fell. I... killed him! she whispered the last words and started crying.
- Äiti? José looked at his mom and was scared.
- Äiti will be ok, dear, don't worry, she said to the boy and gave him to Javi.
Javi looked at her worried and decided to take the boy to Marisa and talk to Minna again.
- I'll be back, he said and left the room for a while.
When he came back, Minna was again by the window and staring at outside. Javi walked to her and was worried.
- Do you still love him? he asked. He had to know it.
- No... my love died when he cheated me. He only wanted to hurt me in the end... but I can't forget that he also was good to me. We had good times and... everything changed. But now despite how bad he was lately, I wanted to save him. He didn't deserve to die... no one deserves to die, she said and swallowed before she bursted into tears.
Javi turned her to him and hugged her. For the first time he felt how she hugged back.
- Poor you..., Javi whispered and caressed her back.
Both were crying and both seemed to need each others.
Javi didn't want to let her go again, he wanted her back so badly. But she wasn't ready yet.
And the baby... was it Harri's? Javi was sure it was. It made him sad.
A nurse entered the room.
- I'm sorry, but you must go now, she need to rest, she said to Javi.
Javi nodded and then he looked at his wife.
- I love you, don't forget it. No matter what will happen, I will love you always, he said.
She looked at him tears on her cheek.
- You love me? she said quietly, - Even if I said those horrible things to you?
- Yes, I know you didn't mean it. You had to say them. You're not losing me! Javi said and he saw that she was closed again. Her eyes returned to stare at nothing.
- You have to go now really, the nurse said to Javi.
- Ok, I will. Minna... I'll come back tomorrow, he said and kissed her cheek. She didn't react.
It was hard to leave, but he had to. It hurt so much to see his wife like this. She is right in one thing. Harri didn't deserve to die. He should have stayed alive, suffered in jail and paid of everything he has done to her! Javi was angry now.

This is so sad. But it seems she is getting slowly better.

so sad but i hope that everything gonna be fine between Javi and Minna in the end...

At least things are going better now.
