"Wonderland" -Part 20 -Final part

Prologue

It’s about a year ago when I last time wrote something. But I haven’t got time before. I’ve ended my studies but I’m not at work right now. And that’s because of my little daughter, who was born about six months ago. Her name is Sofía Alexandra. And Javi don’t know anything about her, But I’ve decided to tell him. I think I’m ready now. I want that Sofía has a dad too. I don’t want that she grows up in those single-parent families, what I’ve seen so much. I’m not sure does Javi really want to see me. But I’m going to tell him some way. Sofía reminds me about Javi so much. She has his dark black hair. And her face is so much like Javi’s. But she has my grey eyes. I want that she doesn’t need to remember this time, when Javi wasn’t in her life. But I’m not sure how should I tell to Javi that he has a daughter. But the destiny had also something to say about this…

Part 1

That day was same kind of than the others in last summer. I didn’t do anything else than took care of my baby. But I enjoyed it. Only worry was money. Because I wasn’t at work, my income was really small. Luckily my parents helped me. They didn’t know the whole truth about Sofía. I had only told that she has Spanish dad, who didn’t know anything about her. Of course mom started to explain that I must tell him about Sofía. That was the only thing what we disagree at first. My best friend was relieved also that I was finally going to tell Javi about it.

Sofía was really sweet baby. She didn’t cry much and she ate well and slept well also. But that day she was little restless. Suddenly the doorbell rang. I was surprised because usually if somebody of my friends was coming, they called before coming. I put Sofía to her bed. I went to the door and opened it. And immediately slammed it shut. I couldn’t believe this. I didn’t plan this like this. What the hell he is doing here? And now? Then my phone started ringing. It was my best friend.
“What now?” I asked.
“Could you please let at least me in?” she asked.
“What? So it was you, who planned this?” I asked angry.
“Yes. Just please, let me in.” she asked again.
“Okay, but just you.” I admitted finally.
I still couldn’t believe that she had brought Javi here. I would like to do this my own way. We had a long conversation with my friend and finally I gave a permission to let Javi in. And all the time I had kept Sofía on my arms. She felt that I wasn’t myself at all right now. I was looking out of the window and my back was towards the door. Then I heard steps. I didn’t turn around so Javi couldn’t see Sofía.
“Hey.” he said carefully.
When I heard his voice I got really huge shock. How I had missed that voice. Tears started to run on my cheeks.
“Hey.” I whispered and turned around.

Part 2

Javi just stared at us. Me and Sofía.
“What…How…Who…?” was all he could say.
“Little surprise, eh?” I said.
He just stared at Sofía.
“You don’t have anything to say?” I asked quiet.
“Is this that what I’m thinking it is?” he finally asked.
“Well, I don’t know what you’re thinking, but I guess, yes it is.” I replied slowly.
“But why you didn’t tell about this?” Javi asked then.
“That’s a really good question, because I don’t know the answer even myself.” I said and continued: “But I should get Sofía to sleep. But she doesn’t fall asleep.”
“Her name is Sofía?” Javi asked.
“Yes. Sofía Alexandra.” I replied.
“You remembered” Javi looked straight to my eyes and smiled a little.
“Yes. I remembered. Would you want to take her to your arms?” I asked.
“Could I?” he asked.
“Of course. She’s your daughter.” I smiled.
When he got Sofía to his arms, it was like light would appear to his face. That moment I realized how cruel it had been to hide Sofía’s exist. Sofía didn’t even get nervous. Maybe she realized that she was her dad’s arms. Actually she fell asleep on his arms.
“And you told she doesn’t fall asleep?” Javi asked.
“Well, not on my arms. Maybe she realized that I was little nervous.” I said.
“Why?” Javi asked.
“Because I didn’t except you at my door.” I said. “And because I think we have so much to talk about.” I continued.
“So let’s start then if there is so much to talk about.” he said.
“But first you could take Sofía to her own bed.” I said.
I lead the way to my bedroom where Sofía’s own bed was. We both stood above her bed and looked at her.
“She has your eyes.” Javi said finally.
“Yes. And I can see these few hairs what she has that her hair is going to be black.” I said and smiled.

We went back to living room.
“So, should we talk about this our situation?” Javi asked finally.
“I think we should. I’m just not sure can I do this.” I whispered.
“Well try at least.” Javi asked and looked me straight to my eyes.
Those eyes. They were so sad. How much I wanted to hug him and tell that everything was okay. But it wasn’t. Finally I started to tell everything what had happened when we met last time. I told everything. How other boys had helped me and how hard were live here. Without him.
“…I decided to tell you a while ago but my friend seemed decide that I should tell you right away. That’s why I was so shocked when I opened the door.” I finished.
Javi hadn’t interrupted me at all during my explanation. And I was very grateful for that.
“So, if you love me so much than it seems from your telling, why didn’t you call me?” Javi asked finally.
“Because I felt that I couldn’t trust you anymore. Every single man has betrayed me like you did. And I thought you would be different. But you weren’t.” I said quietly.
“So can you listen to my part also? Then I hope that you’ll understand why I did what I did.” Javi asked sadly.
“Okay.” I said and prepared to listen to him.
