Part 8

We were back at my home. Carlos, Raúl and Basty were there. Javi took his shirt off and gave it to me. The others looked at us like asking what was going on. Javi stayed to explain about it while I put the shirt into a washing machine. Soon Raúl appeared at the door.
- Yes? I looked at him.
- What's going on? he asked.
- What do you mean? I asked confused.
- You and Javi... that sounded like you are... hmm... together, you know what I mean..., Raúl winked.
- We are just friends. I've never thought anything else of him, I rolled my eyes.
- Right. Eating the same ice-cream? Sister... do friends do things like that?
- Well, we do at least. And he cheered me up, so I can't complain.
- Do you..? Hmm...
- What?
- Sleep together?
- Are you an idiot? Of course not! I exclaimed.
- Well... maybe you should, Raúl winked.
I stared at him and didn't understand anything.
- Why? I could only say.
- Cause you seem to like each others so much, he grinned.
- We. Are. Friends.Period, I said.
- Whatever, Raúl shrugged, laughed and left.
Raúl's thoughts didn't make any sense. Me and Javi? We should sleep together?
But I admit I had felt something, when Javi licked my lips. It was like I was getting a bit... horny? Did he feel the same? I was confused.

Javi was watching TV in the living room, when I came back.
- Where are the others? I asked and sat down on the couch next to Javi.
- Oh, they just left at our house. They had some kind of a plan... don't know what was it really, he mumbled.
- You won't get your shirt today, I told then.
- Oh, ok. It's ok, he said and looked a bit absend-minded and stared at the TV all the time.

Soon my brothers came back and they wanted to watch another channel, so Javi and I went to my room to watch the TV. There was a good movie and we wanted to see the end. We were laying on my bed and watching the movie in silence.
I had fallen asleep and I woke up at 3.30 a.m. when the TV was still on. I shut it off and continued sleeping.
In the morning I woke up to the feeling that something was differently. Someone had an arm around me. I was half asleep, but the smell of another person near me reached my nose. I knew that scent. It was Javi's...
I opened my eyes and saw Javi sleeping next to me, his arm around me and my arm was around him! I was shocked! This couldn't be true! Javi was still without his shirt, but we weren't naked, so at least we hadn't done anything... stupid... Or would it have been stupid...? I was thinking and feeling so weird.
I looked at his face. His black hair was in a mess. His black lashes were beautiful. How come I've never noticed that before, I thought. His stubble was longer today. It suits him so well...
and those lips... they look so perfect. I wonder how they would feel against mine... I got really scared of that last thought. What on earth was I thinking?! He is only a friend of mine! Why do I have so wild thoughts about him!?
Carefully I released myself from his hold and left the room. This was really confusing. We should stop these things for sure, I thought and went to get his clean and dry shirt from the bathroom...

Weeks and months passed by. Something had changed between Javi and me. We weren't so close anymore. Maybe that ice-cream thing had something to do with it, don't know, but even if we were joking and having fun, we were never that near each others anymore. Maybe a friendship between a man and a woman wasn't so easy after all. Or at least we should have kept the distance all the time. Now the line had been crossed somehow.

Oh... well, I hope this story won't happen to you! A friendship between a man and a woman isn't so simple always... and some people don't understand it at all. They think you're together. Here where I live people wouldn't understand that kind of friendship at all. Well, among teenagers it's ok, but with a bit older people...

I know. Few frinds asked me if we are together and when I told them that not, they said that we should be. But that's what I don't want.

Then stay strong! Don't mind about the others. If you and your friend are true friends, don't let any others come between you two. I know what it is like to lose a friend...

I lost many friends. And don't worry. I am strong. I had been through some aweful things and there's nothing that could bring me down anymore.

Well... can't help it anymore... but I decided to write another version of it... "...in a different story" and the beginning is the same, but in a certain part it goes to another direction... though the end will be mostly the same...

And I remember how I wanted to write two-sided story too, but I failed I hope you'll do better, but actually, I am sure you'll do better and soon we'll have the second "part" of this amazing story!!!
