Part 7

“Wait, no, don’t go!” Mikel rushed after me.
“Why should I stay?” I answered. “Its freezing and I’m fed up. I’m going home.”
“We only have 12 hours left.”
“Well go spend it with someone else.” I said rudely.
“But I’ have to be here for you.” He said
“You don’t HAVE to here at all.”
I began to walk away.
“But I WANT to be here.” He said.
I stopped
“Well you could have fooled me!” I shouted.
I turned on me heels, and went. His words weren’t going to affect me. I couldn’t hear him coming after me. He obviously didn’t mean what he said. I walked, and didn’t stop.
This was meant to be the best Christmas ever. It wasn’t.

Part 8

I went home, the best place for me. Mum was there, she didn’t ask any questions because luckily my tears had dried.
“How are you doing hun?” She asked
“Im fine” I managed a smile
“Why don’t you open your presents, lunch will be ready soon.” She said
“Oh yeah! Presents, I had completely forgotten!”
“What could possibly make you forget?”
“Oh it was nothing…” I was lying. It was everything.
“Go on then, open them!”
I did, as I ripped off each piece of wrapping paper, it was like I was ripping of a piece of my heart.
Every other present I received was nothing compared to the one off Alicia.
“Lunch is ready!” mum called.
Off I went and ate obediently. I felt sick. I don’t know why I was so affected by him. He clearly has shown no interest in me, and we had never shared anything, in that way. We had never got involved. I had only known him for 12 hours (technically for 2).Why was I so upset?
I went up stairs and listened to their music, on came Entra Mi Vida. Even though at this moment he wasn’t in my life, I am glad he did enter it, even if for only two hours.
After my meal I felt sleepy, and I dozed of watching a Christmas carol on the television.

I guess wishing upon a star, doesn’t always work
